SNIPR Search 2.0

Search is the tool for investigations. From here you can query SNIPR for instances when a vehicle was spotted and retrieve the snapshot taken at the time the vehicle was spotted. 

  1. Select the Date Range where you think the vehicle was seen. 

  2. Registration: If you know the exact plate number insert it here. If you have a partial, you can also insert this here. 

  3. Match: Select this field if you want to look on SNIPR for an exact match of your plate that you are querying. Or if your plate starts with or ends with the characters you are querying. 

  4. You can query SNIPR for a read based on the vehicles Make, Type and Color. Provided you are using a camera that supports vehicle Make, Type and Color image analysis. 

  5. You can tell the Search Page to exclude transactions that have been marked as Misreads by your Controlroom.

  6. Select search to query SNIPR for your data. 

  7. If SNIPR finds anything it will be displayed here. 

  1. By Default, this section will have ALL of your SNIPR Cameras selected. If you are doing a general search for a vehicle. You won't need to do anything in this window. Just insert your Plate Registeration and Date Range. Then hit the big green search button. To specify which cameras you want to do a Search on, click anywhere within this area.

  2. Clicking on the Select Cameras box will open up the new Camera/Group Selector tool.

  3. You can filter for Cameras based on their name, by typing it in this field.

  4. Your SNIPR.Online Cameras are now organized into Group Folders. Folders will contain your ANPR Cameras.

  5. You can select ANPR cameras individually within a folder. OR you can select the folder, and the system will select all cameras contained within that folder.

  6. Your selected Cameras will appear in this window.

  7. You can click this close button to close the Camera/Group Selector Tool.

  1. Selecting this image will bring it up as a bigger image on your screen. It will also open the results gallery, for you to scroll through all of your search result images.

  2. This is where the License Plate read is displayed. Both the read and the cut out image will dispaly the license plate number. If the plate read does not match the plate number seen in the cut out below. This is what is considered a misread.

  3. You can view more statistics such as data consumption of your camera by selecting the small heart icon next to your camera name.

  4. Camera Analysed Details: The camera provides the Vehicle Make, Model and Color information. Provided that the camera supports this function.

  5. Database Details: The SNIPR Database provides the Vehicle Make, Model and Color information. Providied that a Gatebook Scanner has scanned that vehicles Disk.

  6. Timestamps of the Cameras time and the SNIPR.Online Server Time are displayed here. Generally the difference between the two will be less than a minute. If the Camera time is not accurate, it will effect your SNIPR Alerts.

  7. Selecting this button will begin the Export Wizard. Use this to export your results out of the SNIPR.Online platform.

  8. Selecting this button will make the Search Results section take up your whole screen.

  9. Selecting this button will make the Search Results be presented with just their images and no meta data.

  10. Selecting this button will expand a specific result, enabling you to see more information tied to that read.

  11. Selecting this button will show you the first 5 licnese paltes that was seen before and after this Search Result record. In this example we will see the First 5 plates seen before and after Plate ZZ42ZPGP. 

Search: Spotter

If you have the SNIPR Spotter Product enabled for your company. You may also search your Spotter cameras reads for specific types of Objects that were identified by Spotter within the SNIPR Cloud.

Your Spotter camera will only upload a snapshot to the SNIPR Cloud when the camera detects a person or a vehicle. The SNIPR Clouds Spotter service will look at the image and attempt to further identify what other types of objects are in the image by tagging them.

  1. When searching for Tagged objects you can use the Spotter Search Tab here.

  2. You can query the SNIPR Cloud if it has seen any of the below Tagged objects in an uploaded Spotter image:

  • Animal

  • Person

  • Vehicle

  • Face

  • Truck

  • Tanker

  • Taxi

The SNIPR Cloud can also Alert you when specific Tagged objects are identified. To learn how to set this up please click on the below link:

Search: Face

  1. Select the Person Tab.

  2. You can filter this box by typing the name of the Listed Person of Interest within your SNIPR Hotlist.

  3. You can view if this Person of Interest is tied to an Active or Archived Listing by hovering over this icon.

  4. Here is the image of the Person you have Hotlisted. Select the Person here and then proceed to the next step.

  5. Select Search to have the SNIPR page show you every instance this person was seen by your Facial Recognition Cameras.

 Menu

On the left-hand side of the screen, you will see the menu. The menu can be expanded or collapsed by clicking the icon next to the SNIPR logo. The menu is still fully functional when collapsed. Your menu may not contain all of these items, depending on your account permissions.
